How do I see myself as a youth leader?

My name is Aníta Karen Káradóttir and I am sixteen years old. I have been involved in several youth projects in The Hague, Netherlands and in Crete, Greece. Not too long ago I participated in a mini-conference in Campulung where I engaged in conversations about the democratic process and the opportunities offered by digitalisation. For that trip I also organized a small group of young people from Iceland whom I thought to be enthusiastic about the subject and they partook in the conference. Being a youth leader is challenging and something new to me. I faced some complications in the process, but it ended up teaching me many things. It was an experience that will be useful in the future. What motivated me to participate in the Youth projects was my interest to meet and work with people from other countries and learn about their cultures. I saw these projects as an opportunity to get engaged in youth activities, improve my social abilities and my English, learn about European topics and finally, to grow as a person.
