Moot Court Europe 2021 Online – third edition
The third edition of Moot Court Europe – a simulated trial competition for high school students from all over Europe – took place online between 14 and 21 May 2021. This unique event was realised in collaboration with the Pedagogical College CAROL I in Campulung-Muscel, Romania and Justice Resource Center in New York.
The event followed upon two previous successful editions, also co-organised with the Justice Resource Center from New York, held in 2017 and 2019 at the National Pedagogical College CAROL I in Campulung Muscel.
The project offered high school students from various countries the opportunity to debate and develop knowledge of international law, aiming at promoting civic education, human rights, rule of law and international justice among young people.
The panels of judges included top jurists from various Tribunals in The Hague as well as outstanding legal experts.
The project was co-financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Romania.
