A series of six bilateral exchanges Campulung Muscel – The Hague (2017-2019)
Our Foundation has been initiating a billateral exchange between two educational institutions we have been actively working with during the last years: The National Pedagogical College CAROL I in Campulung Muscel (our main Romanian partner) and Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague.
A group of 23 Romanian high-school students and two teachers from the College visited The Netherlands in March 2017, being hosted by their Dutch colleagues. They visited musea, went to Amsterdam and joined various recreational activities. The Romanian Ambassador also welcomed them at the Embassy.
In their turn, the Dutch group of 30 participants went to Romania at the end of May. Among the activities: a welcoming meeting with Mr Iwan Rutjens, Regional Coordinator Justice Co-operation within the Dutch Embassy in Romania, visits to Curtea de Arges, Brasov and Peles Castle, a demonstrative music lesson and a sport day.
The main aim of the project was to promote the intercultural learning and to widen each other’s perspective on being European.
